ABOUT

ABOUT

I’m an adventure-lifestyle filmmaker and photographer based in Brighton, England. Having secured a place at university to study cinematography, I left college with A levels in English, Film and Graphics. I’d decided to take a ‘gap year’, knowing deep down I’d never want to return to normality. My travels and creative pursuit opened up several exciting work opportunities, and I became hooked on the lifestyle I’d found for myself, even though I knew I’d only just scratched the surface of freelance media production. I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to travel and visual content, so a few months before I was due to begin university, I withdrew my application. So now I’m on what I call a ‘gap life’, still travelling more so than ever before, and working on more exciting partnerships.

My work reflects my passion for travel and escapism. When it comes to photography, vibrant sunrise/sunset hues of red, pink and blue dominate my work. These are the colours I typically chase when shooting, and the soft dream-like lighting provided by sunrise and sunset helps create an atmosphere of serenity. Whatever video piece I work on, one of my main aims is to embed an emotion or deeper meaning. If I can transport a viewer of any film piece emotionally, then I feel I’ve succeeded. Representing that desire of escapism through visual content is a key element of my workflow. With both photo and video work, the goal has never been to amass a huge following, and I don’t seek gratification from likes or comments. I simply want to inspire others through visual content, and move them in some way. That said, I feel incredibly grateful to have reached tens of thousands of people online, and I wouldn’t be able to have the opportunities I do without the support on Instagram and YouTube.

Over the last few years, I’ve been lucky enough to travel more than I ever realised would be possible. During this time, I’ve shot content for tourist boards, hotels and brands across the globe, striving to bring any concept to life through artistically unique visuals. I still feel that I have far to go, and a lot more to learn. My mind is never at rest, and I’ll never lose the inner-drive to push myself creatively and chase the wildest visions.
